The Kaileeni label features American Contemporary, ready-to-wear women's and men's apparel. Based in Shanghai, China, the brand harnesses the energy of booming urban growth and tempers it with rooted influences drawn from its California origin. Kaileeni culminates with the infusion of both the timeless aesthetic unique to the effortless San Francisco and Los Angeles vintage style, and the excitement of emerging Shanghai.

The Kaileeni creative team works from their atelier in the former French Concession of downtown Shanghai. In-house production and custom tailored wardrobes produce unique pieces cut from vintage fabrics collected from around the world.

The Kaileeni look includes multiple layers, hand-made trims, slight androgyny, and anything off the regular. Each piece is thoughtfully conceived with loads of love and tempered with occasional oversized carry-on bags, thick rimmed specs, and a mass of disheveled hair.

Cairn Wu Reppun founded Kaileeni in the spring of 2007. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she started designing for her own closet at the age of 15. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in economics and worked as an options broker in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange before venturing off to Shanghai to create the Kaileeni brand.
